Student Medical Conditions
At St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the health and safety of our students are of utmost importance. We are dedicated to working in partnership with families to ensure that students with medical needs receive appropriate care and support throughout the school day.
If your child has a medical condition that may require attention at school—such as asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes, epilepsy, or any other health concern—please notify the school as soon as possible. This allows us to prepare and implement the necessary supports to keep your child safe and comfortable.
Updated medical forms will be sent home next week. These forms must be completed annually to ensure we have the most current information on file. We appreciate your prompt attention to this important matter.
School Uniforms
All students are expected to arrive in full uniform on the first day.
Required items include:
Bottoms: Navy blue (e.g., docker-style pants, walking shorts, skorts)
Tops: Navy blue or white (e.g., polo shirts, turtlenecks)
Undershirts must also be navy blue or white.
Footwear: Running shoes only. Crocs, sandals, and similar footwear are not permitted.
Uniforms must not display logos from other brands. Only the STL school logo is permitted.
Safe School & Visitors Policy
All visitors, including parents and guardians, must report to the office upon arrival.
Visitors will not be permitted to enter classrooms during instructional time. If you need to speak with your child or their teacher, or drop off an item, arrangements will be made through the office.
Visitors staying in the building must wear a visitor sticker provided by the school secretary after signing in. Lunches and other items should be left at the office.
Lateness
Students should arrive at least five minutes before the entry bell to ensure a prompt start to their day.
Late students must report to the office for a late slip before proceeding to class.
Dogs on School Property
To ensure the safety and comfort of all students, dogs are not permitted on school grounds during the school day, including during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. This policy does not apply to certified service or therapy dogs.
Many children have allergies to animal hair or dander, and others may experience fear or anxiety around dogs, regardless of size or temperament. Additionally, even well-behaved dogs can unintentionally scratch or frighten a child. We kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping our school grounds safe and welcoming for all students.
We are excited to welcome our students and families and look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and joyful experiences. Thank you for your continued support in making STL a safe and welcoming place for all.
