This year our school’s major fundraiser will once again be a HALLOWEEN GROOVE-A-THON. This fun filled day will be held on Tuesday October 31st, 2023. Students will have an opportunity to “groove” with their peers to some fun Halloween songs. Students can wear their Halloween costumes (no face masks please). If students choose not to dress in a costume, they can wear orange and black. Please leave all of the accessories at home such as swords, wands etc. We do not want anything lost or broken. Please ensure that costumes are appropriate for school. Halloween and Groove-a-thon pictures will be posted on our Social Media sites. Halloween/Autumn crafts will also be made in each class on this day.
In light of the various allergies, we are kindly asking that no treats, gift items, etc. be brought to school or shared with classmates. Any items will be sent home.
We are also excited to announce that we will once again, be holding a number of raffles for various themed raffle baskets that will be created per class. Therefore, in order to help make this event a success, we will also be looking to the school community to assist us with donations for our Themed Raffle Baskets. Please stay tuned for more information to follow.
All monies raised will be used to further enhance technology and support student learning.
Pledges and Prizes
All pledges will be online. Families can begin making pledges on Monday, October 9th until Friday, October 27th. There will be three grand prizes for our top FAMILY EARNERS. As well, for every $5 donated, a raffle ticket for your family will be given to your child/children. Students will need to bring their Raffle Tickets with them on the day of the Groove-a-thon to place in the various baskets. All raffle baskets will be raffled at the end of the school day on the 31st. We will also offer the following specials: $20 = 5 tickets; $50 = 15 tickets; $100 = 50 tickets. Donations can be made on Cash Online or for a tax receipt, you can donate through the ‘Donate Now’ button on our website (be sure to choose our school as your donation destination).
First Prize: Play Station 5 (Value $580)
Second Prize: Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet and a $50 Amazon gift card (Value $265)
Third Prize: $150 Best Buy Gift Card
This year, we will also be raffling 3, $50 gift cards for all students who have pledged.
