We are
excited to welcome Junglesport Inc. to St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Catholic Elementary School! Thanks to the generous support of our Catholic
School Council, this adventure program will be offered to all students from
JK to Grade 8 at no cost.
Junglesport’s
climbing and adventure programs will run at our school from January 26 to
January 30, 2026. For over 20 years, Junglesport has delivered programs in
schools across Ontario and Quebec, serving more than 100,000 participants
annually. Their programs are designed to benefit students of all ages,
abilities, and needs.
The
philosophy behind their programs is S.A.F.E. – Safe, Active, Fun,
Educational.
Junglesport
will set up its climbing jungle gym in our school gymnasium. Two qualified
Junglesport instructors will guide students through a variety of climbing and
ropes course activities, with a classroom teacher present at all times. All
safety equipment is provided, including helmets and, where appropriate,
harnesses. Helmets are made from materials that do not harbor lice and are
cleaned regularly. All activities follow strict safety protocols.
Important:
Students must wear closed-toed shoes to participate. Boots, Crocs, or
slides are not permitted.
Some of
the activities they offer are: Wall Climbing; Traversing; Low Ropes; Ascending
& Descending Static Lines; Obstacle Courses; Cable Ride and Gorilla
Gym! The activities take place on the Junglesport structure in the safety and
security of the school gymnasium.
Students
will have the opportunity to try different activities, learn new skills,
achieve success, and increase self-awareness. To find out more information
