Celebration of Blessed Carlo Acutis

Bishop Tonnos Feeder Schools -Celebration of Blessed Carlo Acutis
Posted on 05/04/2024
Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School is bringing awareness to Blessed Carlo Acutis.
Blessed Carlo was a 15-year-old boy who had a passion for technology and the Eucharist.
The cause for Acutis’s beatification and canonization opened in 2012 and received approval from the Holy See in 2013. On July 5, 2018, he was declared “Venerable” by Pope Francis. His first miracle was attributed to him in early 2020, in response to a Brazilian boy born with a malformed pancreas having been healed after praying to Acutis for his intercession and receiving one of his relics. Acutis was beatified, or declared “Blessed,” by Francis on October 10, 2020. Because of his interest in computers and his miracles website, he was popularly called “the patron saint of the Internet” once his cause for sainthood was underway. He has also been dubbed “the first millennial saint,” because he is the first person of the millennial generation to have become a candidate for sainthood
Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary has created a presentation highlighting Blessed Carlo, which include a recorded presentation from a priest who is an expert in Blessed Carlo, an opportunity to view and pray before his Relic, and possibly hear a pre-recording message to the Bishop Tonnos Catholic High School community from his mother.
You are invited to this open house event on Friday May 10th from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.  They will also have a BBQ selling Hot dogs, Hamburgers, treats and other goodies; a cash only event.   If you want to be a part, please call Bishop Tonnos and speak with the Chaplain.
